Fado
Fado is a Portuguese musical style. It is usually sung by a single person (fadista) and accompanied by a classical guitar (in fado circles called viola) and a Portuguese guitar. Fado was elevated to the category of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in a declaration approved by the VI Intergovernmental Committee of this international organisation
Bairro Alto
An old and picturesque neighbourhood in the centre of Lisbon, with narrow cobbled streets, centuries-old houses, small traditional shops, restaurants and nightlife venues. Built on an orthogonal plan from the early 16th century.
Cais do Sodré
The region has always been historically important. Cais do Sodré has already housed an important shipbuilding industry, has been the site of brothels, fishing shops and even received the sailors who disembarked in Lisbon. Since then, many things have changed and today it is the most fashionable neighbourhood in Lisbon's nightlife.
